introduction
Germany and Japan both used expansion as a tool to increase their own freedom while restricting the freedom of the countries they conquered. By moving military forces into foreign nations, Japan and Germany were able to determine what freedom looked like there. As more movement occured in the buildup to World War Two, the amount of freedom in the conquered territories decreased. This map details the specific events that were part of the expansion.
The map to the right goes through the major events relating to the expansion of Germany and Japan between the end of World War One and the beginning of World War Two.
